After a horrendous nature catastrophe hits a country, the radical changes to the landscape can somehow appear strangely beautiful. To deal with one of the worst nature catastrophes in Thailand, designer Pinpanee Israngkun Na Ayudhaya, managed to translate the lingering sadness after the destruction, into the serene and melancholic collection The Storm.

The Storm is Pinpanee’s much appreciated graduate collection from Istituto Marangoni in London. She has experimented with raw silk from Thailand and with the help of an inserted wire, the pleats and drapes can be shaped into waves of fabric.
