Hellen van Rees – Square One: The Miracle of the Space Age

It all started with a simple shape, the square. Dutch designer Hellen van Rees‘s sustainable and sculptural collection “Square One: The Miracle of the Space Age”, is an innovative merge between the traditional Chanel tweed fabrics and the artwork of Anish Kapoor.
The fabrics are handmade from recycled yarns and some of the garments are embellished with hand woven futuristic three-dimensional square details.
After her Fashion Design studies at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem, Hellen moved to London where she recently graduated from the MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins.
