Happy New Year! … and some dancing fashion
We are back at the office after a week of holidays, and everyone here at MUUSE is excited about the year to come – we wish you all a happy new year!
To celebrate the beginning of 2012 in style (meaning dancing your feet off out of joy and excitement over all the good things to come), take a look at these fashion/dance videos I found mentioned in French ELLE magazine – Seems like haute couture label fragrances have turned to dance and music (sometimes even with the model singing!) to convey the feeling of their brand and perfume, but also their garments:
Starting with two male fragrances, featuring “Black Swan” choreographer Benjamin Millepied in the first video for Yves Saint Laurent and male supermodel Jon Kortajarena for Jean Paul Gaultier
Moving on to some couple’s dance for Cartier’s Baiser Volé fragance (wonder if the name is inspired by this Truffaut movie?)
and some couple’s dance/fight for Prada’s Candy perfume: Starring French rising star Léa Seydoux singing, this commercial is dividing the youtube community at the moment – fresh and cute or just horrible?
Some of my all time fashion video favourites, coincidentally also both featuring dance, are Lanvin’s Fall 2011 campaign movie (which I already posted a couple of months ago) and Vanessa Bruno’s LØV video starring Kate Bosworth – what are your favourites?
